Module 1: Introduction to Computers (1 Week):

Module 2: Introduction to Operating System (OS) (2 Weeks):
- Understanding OS: Grasping the role of an operating system in managing computer resources and user interaction.
- Windows/Mac Basics: Learning the fundamentals of navigating a popular operating system (Windows or Mac, depending on the course focus). This may include using the graphical user interface (GUI), managing files and folders, customizing desktop settings, and installing/uninstalling software.
Module 3: Introduction to Typing (1 Week):
- Learning proper hand placement on the keyboard.
- Practice exercises to improve typing speed and accuracy.
Module 4: Word Processing with Microsoft Word (2 Weeks):
- Introduction to Word Processing: Understanding the concept of word processing and its applications.
- Creating and Editing Documents: Learning to create, format, and edit text documents using Microsoft Word. This may include using fonts, styles, paragraphs, tables, and other formatting options.
- Collaboration and Sharing: Exploring features for collaborating on documents and sharing them with others electronically.
Module 5: Spreadsheets with Microsoft Excel (2 Weeks):
- Introduction to Spreadsheets: Understanding the concept of spreadsheets and their uses for data organization and analysis.
- Creating and Managing Spreadsheets: Learning to create and manage spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. This may include entering and formatting data, using formulas and functions for calculations, creating charts and graphs for data visualization.
Module 6: Presentations with Microsoft PowerPoint (2 Weeks):
- Introduction to Presentations: Understanding the purpose and elements of effective presentations.
- Creating Presentations with PowerPoint: Learning to create presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. This may include using slides, layouts, themes, adding text and multimedia elements, and creating transitions and animations.
- Delivering Presentations: Exploring techniques for delivering presentations with confidence.
Module 7: Introduction to Database Management with Microsoft Access (Optional) (2 Weeks):
- Understanding Databases: Exploring the concept of databases for structured data storage and retrieval.
- Creating and Managing Databases with Access: Learning the fundamentals of creating databases, tables, queries, and forms in Microsoft Access for data organization and manipulation. (Consider instructor expertise and industry needs when including MS Access).

- World Wide Web (WWW): Exploring the concept of the World Wide Web and web browsers for navigating the internet.

- Email Basics: Learning the fundamentals of email communication, including email etiquette, composing emails, and email clients.
- Online Safety: Understanding email security and common threats (phishing scams, spam) and implementing safe practices.
Module 10: Internet Surfing and Emailing (2 Weeks):
- Safe Browsing Practices: Exploring safe browsing habits and understanding online security threats.
